JOB: Sales Assistant
LOCATION: Simi Valley, California
STATUS: Full-Time, hourly

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager will provide support and assistance to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), Segment Account Managers and corporate office.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and route for U.S. approvals and follow-up International Commission submittals and Domestic Commission Split forms.
  • Obtain Regional Program updates from reps, consolidate and submit to Japan.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales presentation materials, as required.
  • Prepare a variety of regional reports using Access and Excel.
  • Communicate with reps and complete reports for RSM review
  • Assist National Distribution Manager with analysis and mine date from distributor POS reports.
  • Maintenance of regional files
  • Answer phone and respond accordingly.
  • Review emails and respond accordingly.
  • Employee must complete their tasks per ISO9001-2008 requirements, when applicable.
  • Interface with sales reps and Japan in processing and expediting sample orders
  • Responsible for regional lease quotes and processing of lease orders/shipments
  • Administer loaner tool program (process orders, issue RMA, issue invoices as required)
  • Process design registrations


COMMUNICATION AND INTERFACE
Able to communicate both verbally and writing with all employees, customers, distributors and reps.
         
PROBLEM SOLVING AND JUDGEMENT
All activities are detail oriented and require constant follow through and attention to detail with a high level of professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. High School diploma/equivalent.
  2. 2-3 years office experience in a similar position.
  3. Computer literate; advanced access and excel skills required.
  4. Excellent communication skills, verbal/written.
  5. Excellent computer skills including order data entry experience and ability to learn new programs easily.
  6. Able to read, write, speak English fluently.
  7. Must be detail oriented, strong organization skills, set priories, assimilate information and multi-task to include follow-up skills.
  8. Must always maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult situations.

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
Normal office environment.  Must be able to sit, work at a computer, climb stairs, and walk to warehouse.
