JOB: Sales Engineer
LOCATION: San Jose, CA
STATUS: Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will report to the HIS Group Sales and Marketing Manager and under limited supervision will represent Hirose Electric USA, Inc. in an assigned designated territory to include designing and implementing a successful sales plan, which include the expansion of the Hirose Electric USA, Inc. customer base.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop business plans, product strategy and forecasts product line.
• Communicate with Engineering and Purchasing Representatives both in person and by telephone with existing accounts and potential clients.
• Assist in the establishment of customer pricing and contract negotiations.
• Identify, evaluate and coordinate the development of potential product lines with key accounts and future clients.
• Provide technical product information to existing and new accounts or implement a method to ensure client will obtain
• Meet established sales goals within the assigned territory.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

• BS/A degree in Business or Technical field
• Three + years sales experience within the connector industry with an emphasis with back planes and achievement of design-wins, is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Organizational skills must be above average.
• Capable of setting goals and time restraints to meet the requirements of the position.
