FH19 is offered in two versions. One accommodates 0.2mm FPC’s and the other (FH19S) can take 0.3mm FPC’s, however the connector height then becomes 0.93mm. Both versions have a depth of 3mm and can allow PCB traces to be routed under the connector. PCB retention clips recessed within the insulator help contribute to a compact package, which also double up to form FPC guides to reduce miss insertion (patent pending).

The unique zero insertion force contact design (patent pending) uses the tip of each contact to form a hinge point for the actuator. This ensures the cover is held securely in place from the fully open position at 130 degrees, offering easy FPC insertion throughout actuation. This design also maintains even contact normal force across all contacts as well as a self closing function when the cover rotates below 30 degrees, which is acknowledged with a reassuring tactile click.

FH19 is available in 4, 9, 12, 13, 17, 20, 24, 26, 27 and 30 positions, with other sizes available soon. The whole range has been designed for simple use; are supplied in tape & reel packaging and with a 30 position connector weighing only 0.07 grams, all sizes can easily be picked up using a 1mm vacuum nozzle.
